SAHPRA receives Accolade from the National Press Club (NPC)

Pretoria, 4 November 2022 – The South African Health Products Regulatory Authority (SAHPRA) received an accolade from the National Press Club (NPC) on 3 November 2022 at a gala dinner event.

“As was the case for many other organisations, the COVID-19 pandemic restricted the National Press Club’s activities and this was exacerbated by the passing of two key leaders, the chairperson Val Boje and general manager Jos Charle. During this period the National Press Club survived thanks to the support of a very special group of partners, SAHPRA being one of them with whom we have had a long and highly valued relationship,” said NPC Chairperson, Ms Antoinette Slabbert.

“SAHPRA views the media and organisations such as the National Press Club as valuable partners in disseminating information to the public. The National Press Club, particularly, the late Ms Val Boje, has been instrumental in hosting SAHPRA at webinars to announce key developments, especially during the COVID-19 pandemic. I take this opportunity to wish the National Press Club well for its future endeavours,” indicates SAHPRA CEO, Dr Boitumelo Semete-Makokotlela.
